Port Viguerie
The development of Port Viguerie has turned it into a link between the historic ports on the right bank of the Garonne and the architectural heritage of the Saint-Cyprien neighbourhood, between Hôtel-Dieu and La Grave. The dyke wall has been completely restored using hand-moulded bricks (brique forraine) and above it a new belvedere passageway has been built, offering an unprecedented view of the right bank.
The hemicycle on the river side has been planted with new riparian trees and equipped for cultural and leisure events. Additional bollards have been installed to facilitate boat mooring and water-related activities. On the Saint-Cyprien side, sitting and a play area for teenagers have replaced the unauthorised car park, creating a meeting place for the neighbourhood.
