Coordinació del PDU de l’AMB
The Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) is a very dynamic and increasingly complex economic and social reality. For forty years, the proposals of the Plan have been adjusted and have allowed for the modernization and consolidation of a metropolis that is now a leader in Europe. In 2010, the Parliament of Catalonia passed the law that articulates the creation of the AMB, with the mandate to draft an Urban Planning Plan (PDU) of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, which currently includes 36 municipalities located in an urban region wider
To start the process of drafting the PDU, a profound reflection on the current urban reality and the evolution of the disciplines that intervene in the definition of the future of cities have been proposed: the environment, urban architecture, mobility, ecology, law and sociology, among others... In this sense, thematic workshops have been organized in which specialist groups have debated the most important aspects of our reality.
This more in-depth look at Barcelona as a metropolis of cities will allow us to better understand the problems that need to be resolved and at the same time stimulate the urban development opportunities in the medium term that seem to us to be more important and that we are excited.
