Rue des Lois starts at Place du Capitole and leads all the way to Place du Peyrou. The street is rich in historical heritage, however, in its former state, the street's disorganised appearance, with ground materials that were unattractive and in poor condition, uncontrolled terraces, narrow pavements and a complete lack of vegetation, failed to reflect the values of its historical heritage.

The project transforms the street into a meeting area by turning it into a single platform and creates archipelagos or islands of greenery in the interstices, like Place Yitzhak Rabin.
